McCann Tech Cross Country Competes at Pioneer Valley

NORTHFIELD, Mass. – McCann Tech’s Aliza Rozon and Julia Vareschi Saturday morning finished 1-2 in a cross country race at Pioneer Valley.

Rozon finished in 22 minutes, 31 seconds, 16 seconds ahead of her teammate.

The Hornets were in action against Pioneer Valley and Mahar. But the host Panthers did not have enough girls to earn a team score, and Mahar did enter any girls in the race.

On the boys side, Mahar’s Isaiah Whitmore placed first in 17:31 to lead the Senators to a pair of dual wins over McCann Tech and Pioneer Valley, neither of which had enough boys for a team score.

Running as individuals, the Hornets’ Jackson Delmolino and Jay Delmolino finished 10th and 19th, respectively.
