TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- The Franklin Tech golf team Thursday completed a season sweep of McCann Tech by the narrowest of margins.

When the teams met in Adams earlier in the season, Franklin Tech won in a tie-breaker. On Thursday, it was a 11.5-12.-5 win for the Eagles.

Ryan Baran and Cole Kratz led the Hornets with rounds of 44. Baran won his match, 4-0, while Kratz halved his match at No. 1.

Dalton Tatro earned a 3.5-.5 win at No. 3 with a round of 42.

“I thought our guys played well enough to win most days, but it just wasn’t quite good enough this day,” McCann Tech coach Justin Kratz said. “Overall, I was very pleased with their effort and attitudes. It just didn’t play out in our favor.”

McCann Tech goes to Pathfinder on Tuesday.
