Mount Everett Boys Tennis Edges Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Noah Williams and Jay Seward-Dailey won in straight sets at first doubles Wednesday to give the Mount Everett boys tennis team a 3-2 win over Pittsfield at Reid Middle School.
 
The Pittsfield-Taconic co-op team took the day’s only two contested singles matches, with Hunter Golin and Noah Krantz each winning in straight sets.
 
Pittsfield goes to Mount Greylock on Friday. Mount Everett is at Lenox on Monday.
 
Singles
No. 1 Hunter Golin (T) def. Isaiah Neski, 6-3, 6-3.
No. 2 Noah Krantz (T) def. Willem Vollmer, 6-2, 6-3.
No. 3 Emmett Vollmer (ME) won by forfeit.
Doubles
No. 1 Noah Williams/Jay Seward-Dailey (ME) def. Li Chen/Alec Ginsberg, 6-1, 6-0.
No. 2 Benji Cohen/Philip Enoch (ME) won by forfeit.
