Mount Greylock Boys Edge Eagles, Mounties Girls Cruise

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Mount Greylock boys tennis team battled to three three-set wins in five highly competitive matches to take a 5-0 win over Mount Everett on Thursday.
 
At second singles, Josh Rudin defeated Jordi Peck, 6-4, in the third. At third singles, Drew Scanlan topped Willem Volmer, 7-5, in the deciding set.
 
At first doubles, Alton McIntosh and Troy Michalak went to a tie-breaker to decide their third set against the Mount Everett pairing if Noah Williams and Jason Peck.
 
The Mount Greylock girls tennis team did not drop a set in earning a 5-0 win over the Eagles.
 
Mai O’Connor, Mia Patrick and Charlotte Holubar combined to lose just seven games in sweeping the singles points.
 
Mount Greylock hosts Lee on Monday while Mount Everett hosts Pittsfield.
