Taconic Boys Edge Pittsfield at Mount Everett Meet

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Taconic’s Cam Bencivenga placed 11th overall and third in a dual meet against Pittsfield to lead his team to a 28-29 win over the Generals on Wednesday at Mount Everett.

 

Bencivenga crossed the finish line in 19 minutes, 10.37 seconds to help Taconic overcome a pair of top 10 finishes from Pittsfield’s Jack Archey (17:55.51) and Asa Chard (18:52.31).

 

Lenox once again dominated the top of the boys’ leaderboard, as Dennis Love (17:19.22), Maxwell Adam and Harry Touloukian placed first, second and third in a 2-0 dual meet day for the Millionaires.

 

Pittsfield’s girls also beat Taconic behind a first-place overall finish by Kellie Harrington (19:43.55).

 

Harrington finished 25 seconds ahead of runner-up Alice Culver of Lenox (20:08.51), who helped her squad earn two dual meet wins.

 

Mount Greylock’s Ainsley Abel (21:20.07) and Josephine Smith (21:32.10) placed third and fourth, respectively.
