Taconic Bowlers Sweep Wahconah

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Hunter Golin rolled a 245 game and 461 series Friday to lead first-place Taconic to a 3-0 win over Wahconah in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League.
 
Andrew Robitaille backed Golin with a 436 series, and Mitch McCann had a 235 game -- both second in the league for the day -- as Taconic improved its season record to 18-3 and stretched its lead for first over Pittsfield, which took a 2-1 win over Lee.
 
The Generals were led by Matt Dupuis and Ryan Russo. Dupuis rolled a 234 game, and Russo had a 409 series, fourth best in the league this week.
 
Lee's Jasmine Kearin had the day's best game among the league's girls with a 200 and rolled a 372 series. Her Wildcats teammate had the day's best series among for the girls with a 372.
 
The league will be back at Cove Lanes on Wednesday. Wahconah is scheduled to face Mount Everett while Taconic rolls against Lee.
 
League standings: 1. Taconic, 18 of 21 points won (85.7 percent); 2. Pittsfield, 16.5 of 24 points won (68.8 percent); 3. Lee, 13 of 21 points won (61.9 percent); 4. Wahconah, 6.5 of 24 points won (31 percent); 5. Mount Everett, 0 of 21 points won).
