Taconic Golfers Finish Season 8-6, Gear for Sectional
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ethan Bishop carded a 37 on Tuesday to lead the Taconic golf team to a 158-170 win over Monument Mountain as the Thunder finished the regular season over .500.
Bishop birdied the eighth hole in finishing one stroke behind medalist Luke Naventi, who carded a 36 for the Spartans.
Taconic’s Jason Codey finished at 39, and Simon Mele and Matt Egan each scored with rounds of 41 apiece.
“We had some players with career best scores today,” Taconic coach Matt Capeless IV said. “Career low for Ethan and he was our 4th different player to lead our team in our eight wins.
Taconic (8-6) now prepares for the Division 1 Western Massachusetts Championships on Tuesday at Ludlow Country Club.
Monument Mountain hosts Wahconah on Wednesday.
