Wahconah Girls, Boys Swimming Sweep Hudson

HUDSON, N.Y. -- Ashlee Davis and Arlynn Keefner each won a pair of events to lead the Wahconah girls swimming team to a 98-24 win over Hudson on Monday.
 
The Wahconah boys also picked up a win in the Empire State, defeating Hudson, 90-38, behind a pair of wins from Fred Sears.
 
In the girls meet, Davis won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:38.35 and the 100 backstroke in 1:22.44. Keefner won the 50 free (34.65) and 100 free (1:19.40.
 
Wahconah also got wins from Sarah Kunzmann in the 200 individual medley (3:15.56), Amelia Berquist in the 100 butterfly (1:28.56), Abby Cobb in the 500 free (8:36.03) and Janna Looney in the 100 breaststroke (1:38.19).
 
Sears took first in the 50 free (24.82) and 100 fly (1:18.16) to lead the Wahconah boys, who also got wins from Zach Archambault in the 200 free (3:06.81), Jacob Kunzmann in the 500 free (6:01.32) and Liam Looney in the 100 breasstroke (1:46.93).
 
Wahconah’s boys (3-3) and girls (1-5) host New Lebanon, N.Y., on Wednesday.
