Wahconah Volleyball Team Outlasts Pittsfield in Five Sets

DALTON, Mass. -- McKenzie LaBier had 14 kills Friday to help the Wahconah volleyball team earn a five-set win over a valiant Pittsfield team.
 
Sash Fyfe had 16 digs, three kills and a pair of aces for Wahconah in a 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 25-27, 15-5 win.
 
“After winning the third set, Pittsfield came from behind in the fourth set, down 13-8, to push Wahconah into a fifth set, winning 27-25,” Wahconah coach Dave Lussier said. :Wahconah settled into the fifth set, taking it 15-5 behind the strong serve from Kassidy Krejmas, running six service points in a row to 9-4.”
 
Kaylee O’Bryan had 36 assists to direct Wahconah’s offense and recorded three kills and three blocks.
 
Alexi Sondrini and Ava Sinopoli had eight kills and seven kills, respectively, for Pittsfield, which got 19 assists from Maggie Burke.
 
Wahconah (9-2) hosts Lenox on Monday.
