PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Patrick McLaughlin carded a 36 to lead four Wahconah players in the 30s on Tuesday in a 148-169 win over Taconic at Berkshire Hills Country Club.

McLaughlin birdied the par-5 second hole and par-3 seventh on his way to the 1-over par performance.

Tim Kaley and Sam McLaughlin each finished at 37, and Brady Breitmaier rounded out the scoring with a 38.

“We shot our best score (169) in a match so far on the year, but it wasn’t enough against a great Wahconah team,” Taconic coach Matt Capeless said. “ A 148 won’t lose many matches, if any.

“We tried to protect our home course, but it was almost like a home match for many of the Warriors today. The McLaughlin brothers and Tim Kaley all play a lot of golf at Berkshire Hills so it wasn’t as much of a home course advantage as it is against most other teams.”

Breitmaier birdied the par-4 third hole and the seventh.

Mitch Hall led the Pittsfield-Taconic cooperative team with a 40. Cam LaFerriere had Taconic’s one birdie, on the par-4 finishing hole, to finish at 42.

Taconic (4-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Friday.

Wahconah (5-1) is at Lee on Friday.

Wahconah (148): Pat McLaughlin 36; Brady Breitmaier 38; Vincent Scalise 46; Carter Drake 47; Tim Kaley 37; Sam McLaughlin 37.

Taconic (169): Cam Laferriere 42; Jason Fields 52; Ayden Anderson 46; Mitch Hall 40; Cam Harrington 41.
