Wahconah Boys, Pittsfield Girls Shine at BCC
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Wahconah boys cross country team Wednesday placed four runners in the top six en route to a pair of dual meet wins in a four-team meet at Berkshire Community College.
Noah Wesley placed second for Wahconah, finishing in 18 minutes, 43.71 seconds, about three seconds behind boys winner Seth Aitken of Pittsfield High.
Wesley’s teammates Fritz Sanders and Aidan Garcia were third and fourth, respectively, to help Wahconah earn a 23-34 win over PIttsfield. Wahconah also got a dual meet win over Taconic.
Aitken and the Generals beat Mount Everett, 20-41.
Pittsfield’s girls, meanwhile, were dominant, taking the top six places in their race.
Yasmine Oubtrou led the way for the Generals, hitting the finish line in 23:32.56. Jada Siv, Grace Ungewitter, Sophia Lamalfa and Bella MacDonald rounded out the top six.
Pittsfield’s girls earned wins over Wahconah, which did not have a team score.
Wahconah’s girls beat Taconic in their dual behind a seventh-place finish by Elliana O’Leary.
