McLaughlin, Wahconah Down Hoosac Valley

DALTON, Mass. – Patrick McLaughlin earned medalist honors for the eighth time in nine outings Tuesday to lead the Wahconah golf team to a 153-179 win over Hoosac Valley at Wahconah Country Club.
 
McLaughlin birdied the par-4 third hole and the par-5 seventh on his way to an even par 35 for the round.
 
Two other players finished in the 30s for Wahconah (8-1). Brady Breitmaier carded a 39, and Tim Kaley birdied the par-3 second hole while shooting a 37.
 
Frank Field finished at 42 to lead Hoosac Valley, which got a 43 that included a birdie on the second hole from Zach Mongeon.
 
The Hurricanes (4-4) host Taconic on Wednesday at Forest Park.
 
Wahconah is home on Wednesday looking to avenge its only loss of the season when Mount Greylock travels to Dalton.
