Wahconah Earns Senior Day Win

DALTON, Mass. – Sam McLaughlin celebrated his Senior Day at Wahconah Country Club with a 37 on Friday as the Wahconah golf team beat Monument Mountain, 156-183.
 
Logan Aitken earned medalist honors for Wahconah with a 1-under-par round of 34 on the front nine.
 
“Logan has been working on some fine details in his golf game and its shows,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “A flawless bogey free round tonight and his second medalist round in the last three matches. I'm proud of the work he's put in. Things are beginning to click.”
 
Aitken, McLaughlin and Jason McNulty each birdied the seventh hole for Wahconah, as did Kasen Raifstanger, who recorded a 43 for Monument Mountain’s low round.
 
Wahconah (10-1) goes to Lee on Monday. Monument Mountain hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
 
But first, the Berkshire County League’s top golfers will be at Taconic Golf Club on Sunday for the Berkshire Classic.
