Wahconah Wraps Up Share of County Crown

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – The Wahconah golf team Wednesday secured a share of the Berkshire County Championship with dual match wins over Mount Everett and Monument Mountain at Wyantenuck Country Club.

 

Sam McLaughlin paced Wahconah with a 4-over-par round of 39.

 

He also recorded the day’s only birdie, starting his day by breaking par on the 329-yard, par-four first hole.

 

Luke Naventi led the Spartans with a 44. Chet Schur posted a 43 to lead Mount Everett.

 

The Spartans finish the year at 4-12, while the Eagles are 2-12.

 

Wahconah (13-1) is gearing up for next week’s Western Massachusetts Division 2 Championships.
