Freeman, Lenox Golfers Finish Strong

LENOX, Mass. – Mia Freeman Friday carded a 39 to lead the Lenox golf team to a 173-182 win over Wahconah in a match that is under protest by the Wahconah team.

 

Freeman was joined in the scoring by teammates Katie Shove (43), Noah Pinsonneault (45) and Adam Kirby (46).

 

“I’m proud of our players coming back from some big early numbers and finishing strong against a solid Wahconah team,” Lenox coach Brian Shepardson said.

 

Kesler Anello finished at 40 to lead Wahconah.

 

Wahconah coach Pete Terpak Friday night said the match was under dispute and awaiting a ruling from the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. He did not specify the issue under protest.

 

Wahconah is scheduled to play at Pittsfield on Monday.

 

Lenox is home against Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.
