Winters' Win Keys Mount Greylock Girls' Victory over Pittsfield

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Olivia Winters battled to a 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) win at No. 3 singles to help clinch a 4-1 win for the Mount Greylock girls tennis team against Pittsfield on Thursday.
 
The Mounties got a win at second singles from Mia VanDeurzen, who prevailed. 6-2, 6-2.
 
Mount Greylock swept the doubles with straight-set wins from the pairings of Emma Stankiewicz/Orianna Van Slycke and Hannah Gilooly/Charlotte Sanford.
 
Pittsfield’s Katrina Hould edged Josie Dalsis at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).
 
In boys play, Pittsfield earned a 5-0 win over the Mounties with just two contested matches.
 
At first singles, Sabil Kaddoura won, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2 singles, Andrew King won, 6-1, 4-6 and a 10-6 tiebreaker.
