Mount Greylock Volleyball Stops Lee in Four Sets

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Mount Greylock senior Marley Buffis recorded 17 digs to help the Mounties earn a four-set win over Lee on Friday night.
 
Buffis added four aces as the Mounties prevailed, 25-20, 25-22, 26-28, 25-20.
 
Freshman Takiera Darrow, in her first full varsity match, had eight kills and four blocks for Mount Greylock, which also got eight kills from senior Autumn Delorey.
 
A third senior, Maddie Albert, passed out 23 assists while recording 10 kills an nine aces.
 
“I am really proud of our athletes for their composure and progress,” Mount Greylock coach Greg Geyer said. “Lee is a powerhouse team and Suriana [Lee] and her teammates made many amazing plays.
 
"Lee is very well coached, smart, and serves extremely well. No point came easily. Really a great match on both sides of the net.”
 
Lee had 12 assists and six kills for the Wildcats, who got 19 digs from Anna Wang. Bailey Thomas had six kills and three blocks in the loss.
 
Lee hosts Wahconah on Monday, while Mount Greylock goes to Monument Mountain.
