Mount Greylock Golfers Top Pittsfield

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Ben Gilooly rebounded from a tough start to card a 5-over-par 41 that gave him medalist honors and helped give the Mount Greylock golf team a 183-211 win over Pittsfield on Thursday at Waubeeka Golf Links.
 
Gilooly started with a 7 on the part-4 first hole, but proceeded to par the next four holes, and he picked up a birdie on the par-4 eighth hole to end his day bird-par.
 
Brayden Smith finished at 46, and Owen Petropulos and Ben Prescott each carded a 48 to round out the scoring for the Mounties.
 
Liam Fitzgibbons led Pittsfield with a 43. The Generals also scored rounds from Lucian Lamoureaux (54), Quinn Kearns (56) and Hayden Ploufe (58).
 
Pittsfield plays Lenox and Taconic on Friday.
 
The county’s top individuals will be in Stockbridge on Sunday for the Berkshire Classic.
