Mount Greylock Girls Sweep Mount Anthony

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Ava Simon and Piper Schulman earned an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles to complete a 5-0 sweep for the Mount Greylock girls tennis team against Mount Anthony Union on Friday.
 
Playing under Vermont’s pro-set scoring system, the Mounties dropped just three games in the other four matches.
 
Mia Vandeurzen and Hannah Gilooly each won, 8-1, at first and second singles, respectively. Charlotte Sanford posted an 8-0 win at third singles.
 
At first doubles, Izzy Leonard and Olivia Winters prevailed, 8-1.
 
The Patriots swept the boys, 5-0, in the boys match.
 
Jacob Fink at first singles and Ryan Narey at third singles lost by scores of 8-5 and 8-4, respectively.
 
Mount Greylock hosts Lenox on Monday.
