Mount Greylock Girls Tennis Wins at Lenox

LENOX, Mass. -- Mia VanDeurzen and Charlotte Sanford earned singles wins, and the Mount Greylock girls tennis team swept the doubles points to earn a 4-1 win at Lenox on Monday.
 
The Millionaires’ Rihana Patel took a 6-3, 6-3 win from Hannah Gilooly at No. 2 singles.
 
At first singles, VanDeurzen beat Carolina Chassi, 6-3, 6-4. At No. 3, Sanford topped Georgia Raser, 6-2, 6-3.
 
In doubles play, both first sets went to tie-breakers before the Mounties were able to earn straight-set wins.
 
Izzy Leonard and Olivia Winters beat Carolyn Cass and Emma Butler, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 at No. 1. At No. 2 doubles, Mai O’Connor and Piper Schulman beat Nicole Illingworth and Ella Smith, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.
 
Mount Greylock is at Mount Everett on Tuesday. Lenox goes to Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
