Mount Greylock Boys Tennis Sweeps Pittsfield

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Josh Rudin earned a three-set win at second singles to highlight a 5-0 sweep for the Mount Greylock boys tennis team against Pittsfield on Friday.
 
Rudin won, 6-36, 3-6, 7-6 against the Generals’ Noah Kratz in one of three contested matches.
 
The Mounties picked up forfeit wins at third singles and second doubles.
 
Pittsfield hosts Lee on Monday.
 
Mount Greylock is at Lenox on Wednesday.
 
Singles
No. 1 Tate Carrothers (MG) def. Hunter Golin, 6-1, 6-3.
No. 2 Josh Rudin (MG) def. Noah Kratz, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6.
No. 3 Drew Scanlon (MG) won by forfeit.
Doubles
No. 1 Alton McIntosh/Troy Michalack (MG) def. Alec Ginsberg/Li Chen, 6-0, 6-1.
No.2 Eddie Brannan/Luka Hirsch (MG) won by forfeit.
