Agawam Girls Tennis Tops Mount Greylock

AGAWAM, Mass. – Agawam’s Victoria Papova won a third-set tie-breaker at No. 3 singles Tuesday to secure a 3-2 win over Mount Greylock.

 

The Mounties got singles wins from Mia Patrick at first singles and Bridget Igoe at No. 2.

 

But the hosts swept the first doubles match, and Mount Greylock forfeited second doubles, leaving it to Papova to break a 2-2 tie.

No. 2 Bridget Igoe, MG, def. Addison Podworski, 6-1, 6-0.

No. 3 Victoria Papova, A, def. Charlotte Towler, 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).

No. 1 Teagan Fullam/Nawra Amhed, A, def. Molly Karampatsos/Tiffany Gonzales, 6-1, 6-3.

No. 2 Agawam won by forfeit.
