Mount Greylock Boys, Pittsfield Girls Win

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Gray Kaegi earned a hard-fought, 6-3, 7-5, win over Evan Dempsey at No. 1 singles to lead Mount Greylock’s boys tennis team to a 5-0 win over Pittsfield on Tuesday at Williams College’s Torrence Hunt Tennis Center.
 
The Mounties also got singles wins from Jacob Fink and Josh Narey at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
 
In doubles, Mount Greylock’s Matt Wiseman and Brady Foehl did not drop a game at No. 1 doubles, and Sam Dils and Toby Foehl teamed up to win at No. 2.
 
In the girls match, Mount Greylock’s Cedar Keys and Charlotte Sanford battled to a third set before succumbing to Julian Catalano and Zhen-Mei Huang, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0.
 
Pittsfield’s Abbey Fick and Mallory Northrup won in straight sets at No. 2 doubles.
 
The Generals got singles wins from Anna Hamel, Sharanya Ganesh and Kaytlin Barcus.
