Mount Greylock Boys, Lee Girls Win in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Mount Greylock’s Sam Dils and Toby Foehl earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles to help the Mounties earn a 4-1 win over Lee on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Wildcats’ girls topped Mount Greylock, 4-1, in their match, held concurrently at Williams College’s Torrence Hunt Tennis Center.
 
The Mounties also picked up a doubles point from the tandem of Matt Wiseman and Brady Foehl and singles wins from Jacob Fink and Josh Narey at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
 
At first singles, Lee’s Ibz Zia edged Gray Kaegi in a tie-breaker, 7-5, 4-6 (10-8).
 
In the girls match, Lee earned three straight-set wins in doubles, picking up points from Suriana Lee, Anna Wang and Angie Nejaime.
 
At first doubles, Mount Greylock’s Cedar Keyes and Kate Pfister earned a 6-4, 6-0 win. At No. 2 doubles, the Mounties’ Charlotte Sanford and Hanna Gilooly pushed Lee’s Cindy Ni and Erin Briesebois to a tie-breaker before falling, 4-6, 6-1 (7-1).
