St. Joe Girls, Boys Top Wahconah

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Emma Whitney, Elizabeth Bernardy and Jesse Tobin each was a double winner to lead the St. Joseph girls swimming team to a 66-28 win over Wahconah on Tuesday.
 
Whitney won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.9 and the 200 individual medley in 2:29.2.
 
Bernardy won the 100 butterfly (1:11.32) and 100 breast stroke (1:15.9).
 
Tobin won the 200 freestyle (2:07.49) and 100 free (:57.8).
 
The trio also swam legs on St. Joe’s victorious 200 medley relay quartet. The Crusaders took all three relays and placed a swimmer first in every event to stay undefeated this winter (4-0).
 
In the boys meet, Cory Hartley, Micah Tassone and Bailey DiSanti each won an event to help St. Joe to a 38-16 win.
 
Hartley swam unopposed in the 200 free, finishing in 2:32.2. DiSanti won the 200 IM in 2:46.2. Tassone swam unapposed int he 100 back (1:20.53).
 
Wahconah’s Miles Cramer and Noah Schweitzer each picked up a pair of wins. Cramer took the 50 free (25.2) and 100 free (57.3). Schweitzer won the 500 free (6:09.1) and 100 breast stroke (1:27.4).
