Monument Mountain Boys, Girls Top New Lebanon

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Ethan Dean won a pair of races to lead the Monument Mountain boys swim team to a 118-42 win over New Lebanon on Wednesday.
 
In the girls meet, Carolina Chassi led the way with a pair of wins as the Spartans prevailed, 114-52.
 
Chassi won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:25.26 and the 100 free in 1:02.40.
 
Monument Mountain’s girls also got wins from Jessica Kopiec in the 200 individual medley (2:50.89), Asa Stone in the 500 free (5:40.51), Maddie Fife in the 100 backstroke (1:12.34) and Zoe Holmes in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.77).
 
For New Lebanon, Alex Sotek won the 50 free (:26.44) and the 100 fly (1:01.26).
 
Monument Mountain’s Dean won the 200 IM (2:25.20) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.57).
 
Sam Cybulski won the 200 free (2:02.69) and the 100 fly (1:07.96), where he swam only against teammate Colby Sweet. Harry Albert also took first in two races, the 500 free (5:35.05) nd the 100 backstroke (1:05.82), where only Spartans entered. Colin Thorp won the 50 free (:26.72) and Zach Annaud took the 100 free (1:04.26).
 
Monument Mountain hosts Pittsfield on Friday.
