Monument Mountain Girls Overpower Field at Bousquet

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Emma Soule and Paige Lussier finished second and third, respectively, on Monday to lead the Monument Mountain girls Alpine ski team to a dominating team win at Bousquet Mountain.

 

Soule crossed the line in 51.73 seconds, second only to Lenox’s Molly Knight, who continued her stranglehold on the girls division with a time of 49.82 in the giant slalom.

 

After Lussier, Olivia Ruggiero, Loghan Strzepa, Abbey Boyd and Simone Long all finished in the top 10 for the Spartans, giving them half the top 10 finishes.

 

Pittsfield’s girls placed second behind a fourth-place finish from Lena Ungewitter (53.07).

 

Lenox’s boys came in first behind Max DiGrigoli’s third-place finish with a time of 49.09.

 

Pittsfield’s Charlie Heimann was the fastest boy on Monday, clocking a time of 47.13 to edge out Wahconah’s Dominic Scalise (47.64) in second place.

 

Scalise and Wahconah finished second in the team standings.

 

DiGrigoli was backed up by Noah Kirby in fifth and Michael Piretti in ninth.
