Monument Mountain sophomore Keaghan Kline is the highest seeded Berkshire County swimmer heading into Sunday's Central/Western Massachusetts sectional meet at Springfield College.

Kline is seeded fourth in the 100-yard butterfly with a seed time of 1 minute, 3.53 seconds -- about six seconds behind favorite Lilah Doherty of Longmeadow.

In the 50 freestyle, Kline is seeded sixth with a time of 26.35. Monson's Isabella Zeppa is the favorite in that event with a time of 24.55.

Helen Thorp also represents the Spartans as an individual in Sunday's sectional. She will compete in the 100 backstroke.

Monument Mountain has a pair of relay quartets in the field, in the 400 free relay and 200 free relay.

Taconic's girls are entered in the 200 medley relay and have three individual entries in the meet.

The Thunder's Mia Zuccalo will have two individual events on her program: the 100 backstroke, where she is seeded seventh, and the 50 free, where she is seeded 14th in a field of 37.

Her Taconic teammate and fellow senior Alissa Schettini is seeded 13th in the 200 freestyle.

Pittsfield High sophomore Maggie Vittum is seeded 10th in the 100 freestyle and 11th in the 50 free. The Generals also have two relays who qualified for Sunday's sectional: the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle.

Monument Mountain's boys have more entries than any other county team in the mix on Sunday with seven.

The Spartans qualified relay squads in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay.

Monument Mountain ninth-grader David Iusco and junior Vincent Dragonetti each qualified in the 200 free; they are seeded 16th and 22nd, respectively.

Iusco is seeded 12th in the 100 backstroke, and a third Spartan, Isaac Schultze, is seeded 17th in the 50 free.

Taconic High's boys matched Monument Mountain, qualifying in all three relay events. The Thunder is seeded 14th in the medley relay, 17th in the 200 and 25th in the 400.

Taconic senior Guage Statley is seeded 18th in the 50 free.

Pittsfield High will be represented on Sunday by sophomore Joseph Kearns, who is seeded 16th in the 500 freestyle and 18th in the 100 back.
