PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Brian Lavinio battled to a three-set win at No. 2 singles to lead the Pittsfield boys tennis team to a 3-2 win over Belchertown on Thursday.

Lavinio outworked the Orioles’ Joshua Tan to win, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3.

“I definitely didn’t play my best tennis today, but I just had to find a way to fight through and get the job done for both me and the team,” Lavinio said.

Pittsfield swept the singles points with Adam Quinto winning, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 1, and Cole Masiero winning, 7-5, 6-2, at No. 3.
