Pittsfield Boys, Mount Everett Girls Tennis Earn Wins

SHEFFIELD, Mass. — The Mount Everett girls and Pittsfield boys tennis teams picked up victories on Thursday at the Berkshire School.
 
In the girls match, the Eagles got a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles from Madeline VonRuden and a win by the same score at first doubles from the tandem of Madison Tinker and Rachele Worth. The Eagles earned a point for a forfeit win at second doubles.
 
Pittsfield's Gianna Arace and Hannah Masiero won at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively.
 
In the boys match, Pittsfield swept the singles points.
 
Adam Quinto, Brian Lavinio and Andrew King each won his singles match.
 
The Generals also got a doubles point from the pairing of Cole Masiero and Liam Fitzgibbons.
 
Ethan Benoit and Jake Martin helped Mount Everett avoid the sweep by picking up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second doubles.
