Pittsfield Girls Earn Pair of Cross Country Wins

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Pittsfield’s Kellie Harrington and Cami Diehl finished first and third, respectively, to lead the Generals to a win by tie-breaker over Lenox on Wednesday at Reid Middle School.
 
The Generals and Lenox finished tied, 28-28, in their dual meet. Harrington, finishing in 20 minutes, 28.55 seconds, finished eight seconds ahead of runner-up Grace Elliott (20:36.84) of Lenox to put Pittsfield over the top.
 
Pittsfield went 2-0 on the day, also easily topping Mount Everett.
 
Lenox got a win over Wahconah, which was led by Haley Crosier (20:57.69) in fourth place.
 
Her showing led Wahconah to a win over the Eagles, who also fell to Lee, which was led by a trio of Wildcats in 17th through 18th places. Anna Martin led Lee with a time of 23:52.96; she was followed across the finish line by teammates Brianna Kelly and Olivia Johnson.
 
Mount Everett’s top finisher was Carly Duval, who finished in 27:45.48.
 
Wahconah’s boys won two duals on Wednesday, topping Mount Everett and Lee.
 
Hayden Kendell led Wahconah, finishing fourth in 18:21.53, just less than nine seconds behind winner Ted Yee of Lenox (18:12.80).
 
Yee edged teammate Colin Young, who was second in 18:14.98, helping the Millionaires beat Pittsfield, which got a sixth-place finish from Emanual Brown (18:49.59).
 
Pittsfield was 1-1 at home, beating Mount Everett, which got a third-place finish from Cole Duval (18:21.17).
 
Lee also topped the Eagles behind an eighth-place finish from Zach Bianco (19:23.99).
