Pittsfield/Taconic Seek Girls Lax, Boys and Girls Tennis Coaches

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield Public Schools are looking for varsity coaches for its girls lacrosse, girls tennis and boys tennis teams for this spring.
 
The tennis teams, hosted by Pittsfield High School, will be co-op programs, with rosters made up of students from both Pittsfield High and Taconic.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes. Ability to teach fundamental tennis techniques, playing rules, and game strategies is required. 
 
Experience as coach at the high school level is preferred, but not required. 
 
The program also is looking for a junior varsity coach in girls lacrosse, also a co-op program that includes student-athletes from both high schools.
 
The girls lacrosse coaches will be responsible for managing, organizing, and administering all phases of the lacrosse program in accordance with MIAA regulations and Pittsfield Public School policies. 
 
Ability to teach fundamental lacrosse skills, playing rules, and game strategies is required. 
 
Candidates should have relevant background in the sport, excellent communications skills, and a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school. 
 
Experience as a head coach at the high school level is preferred, but not required.
 
The spring season typically runs from March 21 to early June.
