Pittsfield's Coscia Second in Discus at D5 State Meet

WESTON, Mass. – Pittsfield High senior Kieran Coscia placed second in the discus Thursday at the Division 5 State Championship at Weston High School.
 
Lenox and PHS sent athletes to the district meet, which got underway on Thursday and concludes on Saturday.
 
Coscia’s best mark of 153 feet, 2 inches was just three inches short of the mark set by individual champion Jacob Cookinham of Bishop Stang.
 
Lenox’s top finishers on Thursday were Max Adam, who placed fourth in the two-mile run, and Alice Culver, who was seventh in the two-mile.

3200 meters: Alice Culver, Lenox, 7th, 11:46.39; Grace Elliot, Lenox, 14th, 12:05.98.
400 hurdles: Fiona Ward, Lenox, 26th, 1:17.04; Ben Ames, Lenox, 28th, 1:06.05.
Discus: Genevieve Collins, Lenox, 14th, 80-11.

200 meters: Ian Bridges, Lenox, 15th, 24.00.
800 meters: Harry Touloukian, Lenox, 10th, 2:02.98; Devan Patel, 13th, Lenox, 2:04.64.
