Pittsfield Girls, Boys Team Up to Beat New Lebanon

PITTSFIELD Mass. – Joey Kearns won a pair of events, and the Pittsfield swim team took first in two of the three relays to earn a 51-43 win over New Lebanon in a co-ed meet at the Boys and Girls Club.

 

Kearns won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke.

 

He also swam the anchor leg on Pittsfield’s winning medley relay quartet to open the meet.

 

Taryn Griffin and Hailey Rumlow picked up individual wins for the Generals, in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle, respectively.

 

For New Lebanon, Allison Slater won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.
