Berrian Goes 2-Under to Lead Pittsfield Golfers to Win
STAMFORD, Vt. -- Pittsfield High's Rick Berrian picked up three birdies on the way to a two-under round of 34 at Stamford Valley Golf Course on Friday, leading the Generals to an eight-stroke win over Drury.
Berrian birdied the first, third and fourth holes as Pittsfield won the match, 155-167.
Drury's Nick Bator also had three birdies and finished just behind Berrian with an even par round of 36.
Kevin Quinto (40), Thomas Sylmansic (40) and Shane Tomascheck (41) scored for Pittsfield (2-0), which had six players finish at 43 or better.
Nick Boulger backed up Bator with a 39, and Chad Lawrence carded a 41 for Drury (0-1).
Drury travels to Taconic, and Pittsfield hosts Wahconah on Tuesday.
