Charland, Dempsey Lead PHS Boys Tennis to Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Dave Charland came back to win a three-set decision at third singles and give the Pittsfield boys tennis team a 3-2 win over Mount Everett on Wednesday.
 
Charland and fellow senior Evan Dempsey each picked up a singles win for the Generals, who finished the regular season 7-4.
 
Dempsey and Brian Lavinio earned straight set wins at first and second singles, respectively.
 
At No. 3, Mount Everett’s Cole Duval won the first set before Charland rallied to prevail, 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.
 
In doubles play, Mount Everett got wins from the tandems of Ethan Benoit/Gray Duval and Andrew Haiss/Jake Martin.
