Lenox Golfers Overcome Lee, Fraser

LEE, Mass. -- Lee’s Thomas Fraser recorded three birdies en route to a 1-under round of 35 to take medalist honors, but the Lenox Millionaires earned a 166-172 win over the Wildcats at Greenock Country Club on Thursday.
 
Ricky Armstrong carded a 40 to lead Lenox. Teammate Cliff Flynn finished at 41 after recording a birdie on the 345, par-4 first hole.
 
Brendan Hayden finished at 42, and Max Shepardson carded a 43 to round out the balanced scoring for Lenox.
 
Fraser birdied the 172-yard, par-3 second hole, the 320-yard, par-4 fourth and the 444-yard, par-5 fifth to set the pace and continue his streak of medaling in each of his team’s dual matches this fall.
 
Dylan Ely (45), Dylan Boomsma (46) and Adam Dingman (47) each scored for Lee.
 
Lenox plays against Pittsfield and Taconic on Friday.
 
The county’s top individuals will be in Stockbridge on Sunday for the Berkshire Classic.
