Lenox Girls Get Win, Pull Within One Point in Season Standings

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Lenox girls swept the top three podium spots to earn a team victory in Monday’s Berkshire County Alpine League slalom at Bousquet..

 

Molly Knight led the way with a time of 46.23 seconds, just more than a tenth of a second ahead of teammate Madison DiGrigoli.

 

Max Digrigoli won the boys race in 41.94 as the Millionaires captured both team titles in the penultimate race of the season.

 

Noah Kirby, Rocco Piretti and Oliver Kirby placed in the top 10 for Lenox’s boys.

 

Monument Mountain’s boys placed second behind a fourth-place finish from Kitson Stover. Taconic’s Keeghan Scott and Donald Tanner placed sixth and seventh, respectively, to lead their team to a third-place finish.

 

In the girls race, Gabriella Hall rounded out Lenox’s 1-2-3 sweep.

 

Monument Mountain placed second in the team standings as Paige Lussier placed fourth and Emma Soule, Logan Strzepa and Abbey Boyd all finished in the top 10.

 

Third-place Pittsfield placed three racers in the top 11 spots as Lena Ungewitter finished fifth, and Charlotte Noyes and Bella Penna were 10th and 11, respectively.

 

The league season wraps up on Valentine’s Day with a giant slalom race. Through five races this winter, the Monument Mountain girls hold a one-point lead over Lenox at the top of the team standings; Lenox’s boys have a four-point margin on second-place Wahconah.
