Lenox Boys, Girls Earn Cross Country Wins at Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Elyssa Scrimo led a trio of Lenox runners at the head of the pack on Wednesday as the Millionaires’ girls cross country team cruised to a pair of dual meet wins in their regular season finale.

 

Scrimo placed first in a time of 20 minutes, 18 seconds at Mount Everett. Her teammates were right behind as Gianna Love clocked a time of 20:21, and Koenig Halle finished in 20:29.

 

Pittsfield’s Sophia Lamalfa was the lone non-Millionaire in the top six, placing fourth in 20:49 and leading the Generals to a team win over host Mount Everett.

 

The Eagles’ girls were led by Abigail Reiners, who placed 15th.

 

Lenox’s boys also went 2-0, beating Pittsfield and Mount Everett.

 

A trio of Millionaires finished in a virtual dead heat for third place as Ivan Healey, Jackson Carhart and William Keefe each were clocked at 17:51.

 

Pittsfield’s Cohen Zahn earned a dominating win in the boys race, crossing the finish line in 15:59, 1:16 ahead of the Eagles’ Ben Vella.

 

Runners from all the Berkshire County League’s teams will come together on Oct. 19 at Berkshire Community College for the league championships.
