High School Nordic Ski League Holds Relays in Season Finale

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock Nordic ski team Tuesday took three of the top four finishes in the regular season-ending relay event.
 
The co-ed quartet anchored by Patrick Holland placed first, finishing 33 seconds ahead of the field in a time of 29 minutes, 33 seconds.
 
In second place was Mohawk Trail, anchored by Augustus Niswonger.
 
Then came a pair of foursomes anchored by the Mounties' Andrew Holland and Benjamin Mandel.
 
Wahconah's top relay foursome, anchored by Owen Tucker, finished sixth. Lenox's Everett Shepardson crossed the finish line in 13th place.
 
In all, 79 foursomes competed in the event, the Berkshire County League's final race before Tuesday's State Championship at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vt.
