Hopedale Baseball Edges Drury

HOPEDALE, Mass. – Brayden Lewis hit a pair of doubles Wednesday to lead the Hopedale baseball team to a 5-2 win over Drury in the Division 5 State Tournament Round of 16.
 
Ryan Reynolds earned the win on the mound for the 2022 state finalists, striking out nine and allowing no earned runs in six innings of work.
 
Connor Hinkell was the hard-luck loser for Drury, going the distance, striking out six and allowing two earned runs as well.
 
Drury’s offense managed just a pair of hits.
 
Nick Sacco went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Colby Malloy went 1-for-1.
 
Drury finishes the year with a record of 16-5.
