Drury Baseball Splits Pair on Sturbridge Trip

STURBRIDGE, Mass. -- Kody Crosier and Thaylen Harrison each went 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Drury baseball team to a 12-2 win over Monson on Tuesday.
 
The Blue Devils got two hits and five RBIs from Chad Lawrence and two hits and two RBIs from Logan Rumbolt, who hit a leadoff home run in the fourth inning.
 
Hayden Bird earned the win on the mound with four innings of work. He scattered three hits and struck out five. Zach Yeaton finished up with three innings of one-hit relief.
 
The Blue Devils (3-1) then dropped their first decision of the a year, a tight 3-2 game against host Tantasqua.
 
Lawrence and Crosier singled and scored in the third inning to give Drury a 2-0 lead, but Tantasqua answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning.
 
Connor Clark started and took the loss on the mound. Three Drury pitchers combined to surrender just seven hits on the day.
 
Drury hosts Mount Greylock on Monday afternoon at Joe Wolfe Field.
