McNeice Powers Taconic Baseball Past Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jake McNeice went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Taconic baseball team to an 8-2 win over Drury on Thursday.
 
Deonte Sandifer and Brett Murphy each went 2-for-3 for Taconic (11-1), which got 5-⅔ strong innings from Ross Omelenchuck on the mound Omelenchuck struck out eight and scattered seven hits before giving the ball to Izaiya Mestre to finish up.
 
Drury (6-7) got a 3-for-3 day at the plate from Hayden Bird.
 
The Blue Devils host Monument Mountain for a pair of games on Saturday.
 
Taconic plays Pittsfield on Saturday at noon at Wahconah Park.
