Flynn Pitches Taconic Past Wahconah

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jake Flynn struck out six, and the Taconic baseball team scored six runs in the fourth inning to earn a 6-0 win over Wahconah on Wednesday.
 
Flynn scattered three hits over six innings before handing the ball to Izaiya Mestre, who gave up one hit and struck out two in one inning of relief.
 
Devon Walker went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, and Cedric Rose went 2-for-3 with an RBI in a seven-hit Taconic attack.
 
Wahconah’s Ethan Forfa was tagged with four unearned runs before departing with two out in the fourth inning. Pat Butler put out the fire and went 2-⅓ innings in relief.
 
Austin Cancilla went 1-for-2 and stole a base for Wahconah (11-5), which hosts St. Mary’s of Westfield on Saturday.
 
Taconic (14-0) hosts Westfield on Thursday before taking on Pittsfield on Friday night at Wahconah Park.
