Verdi Leads Wahconah Baseball Past Hoosac Valley

DALTON, Mass. -- Gabe Verdi went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI Tuesday to lead the Wahconah baseball team to a 10-2 win over Hoosac Valley.
 
Bob Archambault was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored, and Joe Woronick doubled and drove in a pair for Wahconah, which scored six runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.
 
Caden Frazier and Archambault split time on the mound. Frazier earned the win, pitching 5-⅔ innings, striking out eight.
 
John Krol homered for the second time in two days for Hoosac Valley. Ryan Audet had the other RBI for the Hurricanes (2-9).
 
Hoosac Valley hosts Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
 
Wahconah (3-5) hosts Lenox on Thursday.
