GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Caden Frazier struck out 11 on the mound in a complete-game effort and helped his cause with a 3-for-4 day at the plate as the Wahconah baseball team beat Monument Mountain, 5-1, on Saturday.

The win, Wahconah’s 10th on the season, qualified it for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.

Frazier had an RBI in a five-run top of the first that gave Wahconah all the offense it needed. Zak Bernardo hit a bases-loaded double to drive in three, and Kevin Huban was 2-for-3 and scored a run.

Sam Cormier drove in Kyle Gochey in the bottom of the seventh for Monument Mountain.

Wahconah (10-7) looks to improve its seeding on Friday when it goes to Adams to play Hoosac Valley under the lights at Renfrew Park.
