Granby Gets One in Seventh to Edge Wahconah Baseball in Opener

GRANBY, Mass. – Nikolas Misiaszek reached on an error and came home on a ball to the backstop in the bottom of the seventh Monday to give the Granby baseball team an 11-10 win over Wahconah.
 
The Rams scored 10 times in the bottom of the fifth to take a 10-3 lead, but Wahconah struck back with two in the sixth and five in the seventh to tie the game.
 
Matt Kinzer went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and scored three runs to drive Wahconah’s offense.
 
James Rabuse was 3-for-5 with a double, and Ethan Orsini went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
 
Rabuse and Colby Robb combined to allow just five earned runs. Rabuse struck out seven in four innings of work.
 
Wahconah (0-1) goes to Monson on Wednesday.
