Wendell, Wahconah Blank Monson

MONSON, Mass. – Charlie Wendell went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs and threw three innings of one-hit ball Wednesday to lead the Wahconah baseball team to an 18-0, five-inning win over Monson.
 
Wahconah pounded out 10 hits, including doubles from Wendell and Aiden Aldrich, who had three runs batted in.
 
James Rabuse and Ryan Marauszwski each had a pair of hits and drove in a pair of runs.
 
Wendell struck out eight and allowed one walk in three innings on the hill.
 
Braedyn Melle went to the mound to pitch the last two innings, striking out three, walking none and allowing one hit.
 
Wahconah (1-1) goes to Monument Mountain on Saturday afternoon.
