Mount Greylock Baseball Falls in Boston
BOSTON – Juan Ferrand went 2-for-3 with a home run Sunday to lead the Boston English baseball team to a 16-2 win over Mount Greylock in the Division 5 State Tournament.
English broke the game open with six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 13-1 lead.
Malcolm Leyda led Mount Greylock’s offense, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jesse Thompson went 1-for-3 and drove in a run.
Cam Miller, Jameson Bayliss and Cole Creighton divided up the pitching chores for the Mounties, combining to strike out three and allow eight earned runs.
Mount Greylock finishes the season with a record of 9-12.
