WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The 12th-seeded Easthampton baseball team Thursday upset No. 5 Mount Greylock, 10-3, in the first round of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.

The Eagles (11-8) used a five-run fifth inning to break open a 3-3 game and never looked back.

Michael Ryan went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Dawson Wolcott threw a complete game on the mound, striking out 10 and walking just three, to lead Easthampton into Monday's sectional quarterfinal against Hampshire Regional, a 3-2 winner over Palmer on Thursday.

Reece Gillette was 2-for-4 and had a two-run single in the bottom of the third, when Mount Greylock came back to tie the game. Eli Ostheimer had an RBI single in that rally.

The Mounties finish the season with a record of 12-9.
